One Love Manchester

On the 4th of June 2017 I had the pleasure of attending Ariana Grande’s One Love concert in Manchester at Old Trafford. The concert was the result of the devastating attack which took place at the M.E.N arena just 2 weeks prior.

A true credit to herself, Ariana did not let fear prevent her from showing immense love and compassion to Manchester and its victims. Raising hundreds of thousands for the cause and speaking with injured fans. It seems Ariana’s strength is something to admire, after all she is only 23 herself. Along with her celebrity friends, Ariana took to the stage and united the crowd through music. Dressed simply in jeans and a white One Love Manchester oversized jumper, she reminded us of her fierceness completing her outfit with black heeled boots.

The One Love Manchester concert line up saw Ariana joined by Marcus Mumford, Take That, Robbie Williams, Pharrel Williams, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan, Little Mix, Victoria Monet, Black Eyed Peas, Imogen Heap, Tony Walsh, Mac Miller, Liam Gallagher, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, and Coldplay.

The crowd shared an array of emotions as each song brought about a new feeling; bouncing to the beat with hands in the air transformed into swaying side to side; it is fair to say the set list was something of an emotional roller coaster. Ariana herself and members of the crowd shared tears throughout the night. Signs and stickers read “for our angels” & “we stand together.” An array of clothing relating to Manchester, Ariana and the One love concert was seen at every turn. The proceeds of which were donated to the cause and can be found at:
One and all were united and this was clear to see. This was One Love Manchester.

Being such a large venue i expected the general shoving and rudeness from people pushing through, however, i was pleasantly surprised and 95% of people were great. For those who weren’t, a simple “excuse me” does no harm, at least then i can let you through without you barging past me. Manners don’t cost a thing.

Below are a few images from the evening:

I close this post with love in my heart and a poem for our angels.

For this is Manchester, One Love
